Since I could remember, I was seeking for a hidden truth, and in this search I sob and sigh in each retreat. I knew there must be a truth which is hidden form my eyes but I couldn’t find it. There was something behind all things and all people which I wanted to understand; to know who I am and what my purpose is. Why have I arrived on this planet and what am I supposed to be doing here? In 44 I found the cure for the long-life pain of confusion and wandering, by understanding the truth about me; truth of who I am and who I am not. I stepped out from a vortex of confusion, in which I was lost for years. And it transformed my life as if I was awakened form a millennial dream.

I walked in many roads; in valleys of depression and distress, edges of fear, doubt and uncertainty, and summits of success and pride, until I arrived in the mirage of Knowing, where I thought I had the answer, but I didn’t know something that could benefit my heart. Tired and desperate of the heavy burden of my Knowings, I found myself at the borders of despair and hopelessness. In 44, I realized that I was enslaved by my mind, the one who was controlling my mind was Not me. The Mind was running the show and I was seeking its demands for years. I didn’t know that my mind was just a puppet doll, imprisoned by the environment and other things. When the bondage was broken and I took the helm, I began to understand the meaning of freedom, and I felt peace and faith in my heart. I understood that human is so honorable and is not meant for enslavement, but it is meant for the Kingdom. I realized that one can walk on earth and breathe in Heaven…

I sought my missing piece for years. I thought of myself as a whole, of which only a small part is missing, and I had no purpose but to find that missing part. What I didn’t know was that the end of this search was not finding the missing part, but coming to understand that I was broken myself, made of different pieces and each piece was like an autonomous territory, having its own rules. This understanding which didn’t happen in a long-life search, came about only in 44 days…

My life, my emotional and social relationships and none of the things I was seeking were real. To seek my lost identity, I walked in many areas so blindly, and each time I was getting lost again. Someday in a bewildered mood, suddenly I felt a ray of light from the depth of the dark and fuggy world inside, and that light changed everything within me. I asked myself: Who am I? What am I doing here? What am I supposed to be doing? Who is the one which is keep talking to me? In 44, I recognized the source of my mental dialogue, and this recognition made me able to be more in control of my emotions and my behaviors. I could bring balance into of my life, and I began to be responsible for my thoughts, my emotions and my behaviors.

Since I remember I have been asking myself: when and by whom my destiny has been written? What is my life purpose? How could I fill the emptiness inside me? I was tired of life and wondering what it means to be human. I had lost my balance in the illusion of being PERFECT; sometimes drunk of happiness, sometimes drowned in grief. Until the light of consciousness shined into my life through the 44 Course, and it guided me to the gateway of freedom and relief. There was a quest, and the answer arrived, what I was searching for outside, was within me all along. And that was the beginning of discovering a new world; the world inside me.

I used to see life as a series of unattainable peaks that needed to be conquered. When I fell into the valleys of failure, I denied or swept the problems under the rug. And shortly after, I was on my road to greedily seeking to climb the next peak, to check it off my bucket list. In the 44 Course, I learned that my mind was enslaved by the things that I didn’t know, and I was desperately striving to seek what They Want. I didn’t know where I was going. I was distracted and confused in a winding path. In 44, I saw the wisdom and beauty that lay in the valleys of life, which were invisible to me. I found the power of attention and dived deep into the ocean of consciousness, and it enabled me to open my eyes and see the presence of Him in my daily life.

I have had many questions since I was a teenager. I walked in many different schools, traditions, and cults to find a convincing reason for my existence. I believed there should be something beyond the cycle of birth and death, and this belief was a gleam of hope to continue my life. I searched everywhere to find the truth, but the more I added to my Knowing, the more truth was hiding from my eyes. I couldn't do anything anymore, just waiting for my death; maybe I could find the truth in another world. Until the day I decided to try the last choice; the 44 Course. The 44 Course helped me find the answers I was looking for. I dared to take a deep look and discover the world inside me. I took action to change and started a meaningful life; I found a glimmer of Truth within.

I was imprisoned in the darkness, terror, and fear, surrounded by overwhelming voices and images in my mind. Sometimes those voices were so loud and the images so dark that my life was no more than endless despair and bewilderment. In that dark prison of my mind, I worked, I fell in love, I suffered and I suffered. I was enslaved by the voice in my head; by the images and thoughts. I sought what they wanted and I danced to their tune. They persuaded me to do certain things, and then they blamed me, condemned me, and there was no end to this trial and conviction and suffering. In the 44 Course, I found a gleam of light in my heart. I realized that I am Not the voice in my head, and I found a way out of the prison of Self. The thoughts and images disappeared, I was free from the shackles and the bondage, by the light of awareness that I found in 44, now that I had the keys. The more light I asked for, the more doors were opened to me. And I found myself in a graceful dance, free of the bondage. A joyful dance in harmony and balance.
